  • If you are currently properly marking trade items using UCC-12 data structures (U.P.C.’s), you do not need to change anything

• Retailers/End Users - Receivers of Products

  • The U.P.C. is not going away, nor is it changing with 2005 Sunrise
  • In addition to the U.P.C., expect to see items marked with EAN-13’s and EAN-8’s
  • Be prepared to read all these bar codes after January 1, 2005
