ARTS Consortium Europe was formed to increase ARTS membership in Europe and EMEA and to provide members the benefit of local meetings for networking and to form independent sub committees to develop XML schemas and messages to integrate applications within the retail enterprise.

The current 31 members of ARTS Europe , including Shell, John Lewis Partnership, BP, El Corte Ingles, are committed to using standards to reduce IT operational and development costs.
