Success of the goals of UnifiedPOS depends upon platform specific standard committees (such as JavaPOS and OLE for Retail POS (OPOS) technical committees) to have all future development conform to the UnifiedPOS specification. ARTS has established procedures and an organizational framework to enable these platform specific committees to continue independent development without impediment.

Control classes, to illustrate the interface presented to an application.
