The current version of the Near-Physical Conformance is largely automated using software written in Java using the JDBC Meta-Data API.
The Conformance Audit is therefore only available to candidate systems for which there is a Java Runtime Environment (JRE), and where the candidate database is available to the audit software via the JDBC Meta-Data API.
(Note: All ODBC capable databases are made available to the JRE by the ODBC-JDBC bridge which is part of the JRE)To determine if your system can be audited with this version of the Conformance Program, download the JDBC Test Connect program from here, and use it to connect to your system and extract meta-data from your candidate database.
If you can connect and extract meta-data from your system then your system can be audited with the current version of the Conformance Program.
